Dinosaurmen Book 1 – Stegaron’s Hoax

In the mid nineteen eighties I envisioned a fictional world where reptiles were not

killed off by an asteroid and evolved to become the dominant species on the planet. They gained intelligence, mastered technology, and formed cities governed by a King and a Royal Court with representatives from each of the original sub-species of their larger race.

Originally, I told the tale to my son and illustrated a comic strip for him with

Dinosaurmen like characters. With a full-time job, responsibilities to the military reserves, a family of four to raise, and then a fledgling art magazine, I found keeping up with the drawing to tell the tale took too long. A friend from the publishing world told me to write the book and illustrate it later. This turned out to be great advice until the attacks on 9/11 changed my focus from civilian work to counter terrorism military duty.

For the next 17 years I struggled to find time get back to Planet Sauron, spinning

around our sun in an almost exact equivalent orbit, unseen, and really couldn’t. I collected interesting books and articles with tidbits of information about dinosaurs, magnetic power generation, fossil digs, and finally, after retiring in 2017, returned to the land of Dinosaurmen. Book one chronicles the adventures of our primary hero, The Southern Operations Ranger, Dinocera or Dino as he is known to his friends. The Rangers assign him to seek criminal elements from Planet Sauron conducting illegal poaching operations on Planet Earth. He finds one of the most dangerous Dinosaurmen known, a Predacious lineage Sauron descended from the giant meat-eaters. He still has the gruesome teeth and jaws of his predecessors and has engaged in barbarism besides his criminal actions.

The bloody conflict bounces back and forth between Planet Sauron and Planet Earth over the course of all three books. The first two books are complete and undergoing revisions pre-publication. They will be released in hard copy and digital formats. Over the next few months I will tease readers with excerpts from some of the juiciest scenes in the books!

Stay Tuned,
